This February we’re serving up a month of bite-size fitness tips with a side of self-care.
There’s a lot of pressure these days to be everything to everyone and accomplish big goals - but finding balance and remembering that you matter too (especially during a pandemic!) is when the magic really happens. If there was one bright spot in 2020, it’s that the self-care conversation (among many other important conversations!) is getting more positive attention.
"When you become a mom, it’s easy to forget about taking care of yourself now that your little one needs the most attention." Says Rai Burns (pictured below with her daughter), mom, entrepreneur and owner of Raispire Lifestyle. "It’s even easier to become overwhelmed at everything you need to to do to create a “normal,” schedule. I find it important to find 5-10 minutes in my day to workout. Working out helps me clear my mind, lower my stress and keeps my sanity in check! The best part about it, is that I feel refreshed and renewed.”
Rai knows first-hand the pressure of balancing fitness, family, and work duties. Her adversities surrounding her depression and weight issues, sparked Rai to make a lifestyle change that provoked the birth of Raispire Lifestyle - and we're so glad she did!
